leonidas kehagias is a senior at the george washington university, double majoring in political science and journalism. he hails from rural northeast pennsylvania and was instilled with the value of community service thanks to his small town roots. on campus, leo serves as an outdoor guide with gw trails, gw’s outdoor leadership development program. he also writes for the gw hatchet, is a member of the university honors program as well as the phi alpha delta pre-law fraternity, and is a counselor for camp kesem - a summer camp for children impacted by a parent’s cancer. before coming to school in dc, leo grew up on a small dairy goat farm and was surrounded by agriculture. as a member of 4h, he learned first-hand about the benefits of local, community based farming. this interest expanded through an experience working on a permaculture project in france. in his free time, leo enjoys playing the violin, reading philosophy, and backpacking.
