the lead implementer of weatherizedc\'s community mobilization model and strategy, sam brings a unique blend of community organizing experience and environmental advocacy to the dc project. as a field organizer in the obama for america campaign, sam built 6 neighborhood teams consisting of 20 neighborhood team leaders and over 600 active volunteers.
sam has also organized around environmental issues with the carbon coalition, where he spearheaded a two-year, statewide grassroots effort in new hampshire that brought climate change resolutions to pass in 164 towns, established local energy committees in 90 towns, and leveraged an active volunteer network to engage presidential candidates across the state. sam is a graduate of bates college.
