the student chapter of engineers without borders-usa columbia university began working in obodan, ghana in 2004 with a focus on water and sanitation projects. the program has previously helped the community build two latrines and is now planning to implement a water distribution system and more source-separating latrines in the summer of 2011. this source-separated latrine project was funded through the epa\'s p3 competition and our faculty adviser professor kartik chandran.
