i'm a business and finance major with a minor in sustainability at gw's school of business. i have a passion for innovative food trends and environmentally sound food practices, and my interest in sustainable food systems inspired me to research u.s. food crops. i am a volunteer at the iron street urban farm in chicago and at gw's grow garden, and i also have served for six years as a volunteer attorney and juror on teen court.
i wanted to figure out the impact food has on the world around us, and search for new ideas about how food shapes our economies, environment, health and, ultimately, survival. it’s something we experience everyday, yet is facing a growing dilemma. keep reading
