george washington university

i am a senior at the george washington university school of media and public affairs (smpa), majoring in journalism and mass communications with a minor in spanish. 

my leadership position with jumpstart last year taught me how to anticipate and recognize the needs of my team, as well as delegate and oversee our responsibilities, and budget time efficiently. then during my semester abroad in chile i interned with cnn chile, where it was my responsibility to assist choosing pertinent and newsworthy packages to translate into spanish, create new captions and voice-overs. upon my return, i interned for planetforward.org as a video production assistant, where i enhanced my skills pitching, shooting and editing original video content. 

i'm improving my ability to understand and execute multimedia including video, info-graphics and social media packages. i hope that one day my published data and multi-media products will advance the debate around a variety of social topics.  everything behind the scenes interests me and i especially enjoy editing footage.
