{"id":10064,"name":"eva kotobuki sideris","url":"","description":"eva sideris is completing her final year of undergrad at suny college of environmental science and forestry. she is pursuing a b.s. in environmental studies with a concentration in policy, planning, and law. eva grew up in buffalo, new york, but has spent her summers exploring the state of new mexico with her family. growing up with the great lakes of the northeast and the rio grande in the southwest has made her the person she is today. personally experiencing resource and water scarcity has helped her understand the importance of environmental advocacy, community engagement, and resource conservation. as an amateur environmental documentarian, eva\u2019s work often involves topics in agriculture, sustainable materials management, food justice, and the dynamic interactions between water and people. eva would like to continue making films and other pieces to creatively communicate science and research in ways that are accessible and comprehensive.\r\n \r\neva first began contributing to planet forward in her sophomore year of college. in the midst of the pandemic, pf helped her realize the value of digital storytelling for advocacy and self-expression. planet forward has also inspired her to explore lifelong curiosities and how others see the world. \r\n\r\neva has contributed to environmental justice initiatives in vieques, puerto, and el paso, texas, among other places. in september 2022, she had the incredible privilege to travel to mcginley ranch in nebraska, with other members of planet forward to learn about regenerative bison ranching, and keystone species conservation. \r\nthroughout her time at school, eva has chosen work and academic opportunities to diversify her education. she has worked in environmental finance and consulting;
